    3. I use DeedMapper extensively for West Tennessee. Tennessee is(was) a metes and bounds state. The pros are that it works and there is no alternative I know about. The cons are that it takes a little training and practice. I am trying to construct a first generation settler's map in a 100 square mile area in Weakley County. Without Deed Mapper it would be impossible.     3. Thanks, I decided to buy it when I saw all the sites with information on them for me to download, that had surnames (from those areas) I am researching.
