Jim, My experience with plats in Laurens Co., SC (650 plats) is that a directional arrow (N-S) on the plat is seldom shown. As a result it is impossible to tell the orientation of the plat from the plat description. What occasionally works is to locate an adjacent plat (or plats) whose orientations is known and use it to guide you. Lee Adair************************************************* W.
