Mr. Clark, I believe what I said was that the plat maps, as recorded in the State of South Carolina plat books, do not indicate north on the individual plats, and that north was not always up on these plats. Obtaining another copy of the plat maps from the state would not correct this. All the lines in a plat are given relative to north simply because the compass is magnetic. Most maps are oriented so that up is north, and I think DeedMapper makes this assumption.
