I can't tell you what you are doing wrong but I would suggest you go to table view and see what is displayed. I have a feeling you will find items 1 through 9 displayed. If this is true then delete items 1,3,4 6 7,8 and you will have the correct table view display. You can delete an item by highlighting the item in table view to be deleted then click edit>> click delete.
