    3. I know DeedMapper can't do arcs but can I somehow get the rest of the points in the correct position while leaving out the segment with the arc? Here is what I have: Pt 1 - Creosoted timber pile driven at mean low water Ln s59.89572e; 2234f; Pt 2 - Steel railroad rail ! Easterly following an arc of a circle with 985 ft radius for 1736.89f Lm ; 1736.89f; this is the arc Pt 3 - Steel rail at the point of tanget of the curve Ln s19.07261w; 589.38f; Pt 4 - Creosoted pile on the mean low water line Ln s29.81483w; 367.07f; Pt 5 - Cross cut in southerly stone wall of moat sluice way (same as "F") Ln n76.0327w; 1325f; Pt 6 - Mean low water line Lm ; ; following mean low water line in NW direction to the beginning Between point 2 and 3 the deed follows the arc of a circle for 1736.89 feet. If I continue entering points after that, the plot I get doesn't make any sense. I am sure it is not correct. Is there anyway for me to see the rest of the points in the correct relative positions? Perhaps reversing the directions?? Also, I had to convert my directions such as N76 1' 57.6" W to decimal degrees (n76.0327w) - please verify this is correct. DM didn't like the 57.6. Thank you!! --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Tax Center - File online by April 15th

    3. To make the remaining points visible you would need to add a dummy direction and distance on the last leg. For example, you could enter NW; 500f; and see what it looks like. N76 1' 57.6" W can be entered as N76/1/58W You're correct that it will not take decimals on the seconds value. 3. Sara Yes you can. The surveyor says point 3 is at a point of tangent of the curve by using the rules of trigonometry one can calculate the bearing and distance of the cord of the arc. The bearing and distance of the cord is s70.9e;1489.24f. Use this as the bearing and distance from point 2 to point 3. Keep in mind this will show the cord between points 2 to 3 and not the arc but it will give you a picture of how the other metes and bounds fit together. Good luck Dale At 01:32 PM 4/15/2004 -0700, you wrote: >I know DeedMapper can't do arcs but can I somehow get the rest of the >points in the correct position while leaving out the segment with the arc? > >Here is what I have: > >Pt 1 - Creosoted timber pile driven at mean low water >Ln s59.89572e; 2234f; >Pt 2 - Steel railroad rail >! 3. Sara After further review. The bearing and distance should read n70.9e;1489.24 Dale At 01:32 PM 4/15/2004 -0700, you wrote: >I know DeedMapper can't do arcs but can I somehow get the rest of the >points in the correct position while leaving out the segment with the arc? > >Here is what I have: > >Pt 1 - Creosoted timber pile driven at mean low water >Ln s59.89572e; 2234f; >Pt 2 - Steel railroad rail >!
