    3. Hi Dale: As for tracking the property by owners - perhaps I wasn't clear. You must move through the deed indexes name by name - from seller to buyer to seller, etc. I've never yet researched in a metes & bounds state that lists any type of legal description in the indexes - once again I'm not saying there aren't some out there but out of 8 or 10 states I've searched in I've never seen anything except names. It's the public domain states that have tract books with legals.
