I'm so jealous! Sounds like so many of you folks on this DECKER list are making some connections up there in NY. Well, I want to too!!! My Horace Decker was born 1832 in - you guessed it > NY. where? who knows? Does anyone have a Horace in their tree? Or, could I just horn in on someone's Decker Family :) Horace - I first meet him in Hillsdale Co. MI in 1855 when he marries Lucretia Bailey. He pretty muched stayed in MI except for '64-65 when he was in OH serving in the OVI. I've sent for his military records - it's taking forever, and was hoping that in the meantime, well you all know...Any tips, clues, helps would be really, really appreciated. TIA for any help.
