Hello to Decker Researchers: I am seeking information on Henry Decker and wife Ann Coleman of Lunenburg and Mecklenburg Counties, VA. Henry Decker patented 435 arces on the South Fork of Allen's Creek adjoining Coleman on March 10, 1756. John Coleman went Surety for his daughter Ann, when she married. Her brother, James Coleman, also signed as second signer. They had 5 known children, William, Samuel, John, Joseph, and Henry. The children went to KY. The Decker Family of Grayson County Kentucky by Barry W. Downs and Percy Ray Downs, Jr. claims that Henry Decker of VA was a decendent of Jan Decker of New Jersey. I am really not sure this is true. The Passenger and Immigration Lists Index show a Henry Decker immigrating into the port ot Philadephia, PA, 1751. Any information would be appreciated. John & Mary Ealy [email protected]
