Hi I subscribed to this list yesterday and have not seen any messages posted yet and so, being the impatient person that I am, I thought that I would post my message to see if there is any response. All I know is that my DANIEL DECKER married CATHERINE ANN ALSTON ON 24 Nov 1839. Catherine was born 9 Jul 1820 died 17 Oct 1902. Their children were: i. Albert Alston Decker b. 15 Jan 1841 ii. Charity Ann Decker b. 1 Sep 1845 d. 18 Oct 1928 m. 29 Oct 1865 Robert Knight iii. Emily Jane Decker b. 27 Jul 1848 m. Brinckerhoff. They are all from Staten Island. I am quite certain that Daniel Decker descends from Johannes de Decker who arrived in New Amsterdam on the Swarte Arent April 1655 but I need a bit of help with it.
