I need some help with person: Vincent Decker b. ca 1813 poss. N.Y. marries Abigail ( unknown) in or about the first of 1836. Children of this marriage were Aaron b. NY 17 Nov 1836, James b. N.Y. ca. 1837, Wm. H. b. ca. 1839 or 1841 per Civil War records born Steuben co., N.Y., O.(can't read name of 1850 census) (m) age 9, Almira (d) b. ca 1845 N.Y., Lorilla (d) b. ca 1846 Pa., Dennis b. Pa ca. 1848, Charles b. Pa. 1850/51, and Elizabeth (d) b. 1856 Pa. Abigail dieds Dec 1856 Trumbull co., Oh or is buried there. Vincent Decker not on 1860 census for Oh or Pa. Found a Vincent Decker enlisted into the Civil War--Richmond Twp., Ontario co., NY in 1864 with the 4th NY HA, could this be our Vincent? Vincent remarries (?) Mary Ann(unknown) found 1867 Oil Creek Twp., Crawford co., Pa paying real taxes, but could never find where he purchased property there. What I'm trying to do do is locate parents of Vincent, siblings of his, I believe he was born in NY since some of his children were and I do believe he went back to NY and enlisted into Civil War.
