My fellow Americans, I am the President of the Decker Family and Burnett Family Associations and the keeper of the Finger Lakes Family Archives. First ... I want to make a statement. I did not have an affair.... I did not lie about it under oath... and I will not resign. Now.... I want you to listen to me.... I'm going to say it again... I did not have brunch with that woman.... I ask you to turn away from devisiveness, celaciousness and discord. I have a job to do as the President of the Burnett and Decker Family Associations and that is what I am going to do. The business of genealogy must going on! I have recently added GenConnect Query Boards for both families at http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyontari/ you will find boards to post surname queries, wills deeds, bios, obits, and pensions etc. In addition there are some 5,000 new ancestors of ours in the Ontario Co. Civil War Service Men files and the Roseridge Cemetery file, submitted by John ____ . Over the next few days and weeks, there will be additional links, and files added to the site. Also, I have instructed the men and women of the volunteer typing forces to begin an operation called "Operation Church Records" ... over the next several weeks more of your ancestors will appear in those records. I believe we can and must work together as rooters, so I am asking you to send me your material.... and I am prepared to accept what ever you deem appropriate for me and the page. In closing ....
