That is probably why he only has two children listed. I was also told that Rudolph worked as a bartender in one of St. Louis' biggest bars but I don't know which one. I guess there were many in the late 1800's. So little else is known about this Rudolph Decker b. 1866-1886 that it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't just step off "the boat" and head straight for Missouri. I feel like Rudolph must have hung out on the German side of town. His wife's name was Josephine (Josie) Beleck and his son, Arthur Russell Decker married a Schmidt. His only other known child was Elmer b. 1902. I have a wonderful picture of Rudolph and Josephine that was taken at the time of their marriage about 1900 in case you would like to see it. Jeffrey L.
