Grandfather Count B.(Burton, I think) DECKER in the 1870 Kansas census, Sedgwick County, Waucaula Twp. He was listed as 21 yrs. old, b. IL in the household of Simeon M. DECKER, age 47, b. OHIO and wife Mary D., age 41, b. OHIO. From the ages and areas of birth of the children listed, I think this is his second wife. I feel this is Count's father, but it is the first piece of info I have found on his ancestry. I have been searching, as other family members have before me, for this elusive Grandfather.
