    3. Jim, Thank you very much for the link to the Bates volumes on the History of the Pennsylvania Volunteers, 1861-5. I'm looking for more information on one of my many Lancaster County ancestors, John DECKER, (about 1839 - after 1890) found in Manor Township in the census of 1870 and 1880. He married Emma ERISMAN (1845-1887), daughter of Abraham ERISMAN and Catharine MARONE in Feb. 1864. I haven't had much luck so far in locating him or his parents before 1870. Family oral history holds that John Decker served at Gettysburg. However, I haven't found which regiment as yet. This link will be very helpful in my research.
