I'm searching for information on Alexander Decker born abt 1873-78 in NY. There is conflicting info about where he was born in NY some think he was born in Troy, NY and other's have said Yonkers. The family has always heard that when Alexander was young his mother was in some sort of drowning accident off possibly an ice barge or something like that, He was sent to a relative to live but soon after he left them for an unknown reason. We don't know where his travels took him but he ended up in Oklahoma where he married to Anna May McBride in 1901 in Pittsburg Co Ok. He was a miner in Ok and surrounding areas. His death certificate states that he was born in Troy, NY, the informant was his son Frank G Decker it states his date of birth as Feb 12 1864 but this doesn't coincide with census records in Oklahoma. He died in 1948 and it states that he was 84 yrs old. His death was in Los Angeles Ca. The family thinks Alexander's parents names were Joseph and Mary. Childrens names are, Joseph Decker b 1902 in Alderson, Pittsburg Co Ok spouse Lena Frank Grover Decker b 1904 in Lequire, Haskell Co Ok spouse, Ruby Howard May Belle Decker b 1906 in Wilburton, Latimer Co Ok spouse Aaron Prinson Howard Martha Decker b 1909 in Smithtown Ok spouse Elijah Bowers, Elmer E.
