Personally, I like the idea of trying the VDT for those who want to participate. It certainly has brought new life to the Decker e-list. The person I would like to spend a few minutes with is WILLIAM HENRY DECKER, the grandfather I never knew. He disappeared in 1927, and even though the rivers were dragged, his body was never found. Things I would like to ask him: Where did you go? Did you create a new life for yourself? A new name? You were a very successful engineer in the paper-making industry, with several patents. Were you able to use that background, or did you start over in something completely different? New family? Do I have unknown relatives? William Henry Decker, b 5/22/1868 in Lee, MA. Married 11/17/1872 to Estella Elizabeth Johnston in Brownville, NY. His disappearance in, I believe 1927, when he was age 49, must have made the newspapers. Since I don't have an exact date, I haven't been able to track them down. He would have been living in Syracuse or Skaneateles at that time, or possibly around Watertown, and probably working at St. Regis Paper Co. Any help with this would be most appreciated. Annie
