I have tried numerous times to send a reply but to no avail. In answer to your question, the reason I believe that Phillip Arthur Decker is the son of Elisha Decker is because on Phillip's death certificate, his parents are listed as Elisha Decker and Margaret Duvall. Phillip married Nancy Hoggard in 1848 so he was not living with his parents in the 1850 census. He, Nancy, and their two small children were in IA in the 1850 census. I don't have very much information about Elisha Decker and Margaret Duvall. Do you have any information about them you would like to share? Thanks much, Frank Decker at lordecker@msn.com
