Dear Decker List, In searching records in DeKalb Co, IL. for my Aaron M. Decker (b. 1786, Morris Cty, NJ; bro of James Decker m. Jane Luke/Decker) I came across a petition in the matter of the estate of Jacob Henry Decker. Petition by John Walschmidt(sic) for Jacob who died intestate. Survivors are: wife Catherine Decker, and five children: Mary Catharine Haines, wife of William H. Haines, Henry William Decker, Caroline Walschmidt, wife of John Walschmidt, Harriet Decker and Wilemina Decker (minus...minor?). Petitioner wanted letters of administration on the estate to be granted. Jacob Henry died at Somenauk (sic), DeKalb Co, IL.(leaving personal property north of Somenauk (sic) about six hundred dollars). Petition on file at Sycamore Courthouse, Dekalb Co, IL.
