What part of NY were your Deckers from? In 1840 I had Deckers in Columbia County, and Sarah is a common name among the females. Most common male names were William and John. Leroy was married to Louisa who was born in Ohio about 1845. they have 4 children listed in the 1880 census; Richard, Thomas, Sarah E., and Enna L.. I have been unsuccesfull in my search for further information on these children with the exception of Thomas, and there is nothing further as to who Leroy's parents were, or what became of them.
