You might try www.raogk.org (Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness). Check for a volunteer in the county of the state you need a lookup. It will tell you what they are willing to do in their area. As a volunteer for Middlesex Co., CT, I do lots of obit lookups from local newspapers plus other lookups. Good luck! P.S. Oh, by the way, there is no charge other than reimbursement for copies and postage.

Found on Judy Allen Cwiklinski Abstracts of Allegany County, NY Thurs, Jul. 7, 1892 A Mind Diseased. An insane woman was brought from Castile Friday. She was formerly a saleslady for Davidson in this city (Hornell-JAC). We understand her name was Iva SWARTOUT. he was taken to Wellsville on train one. She was accompanied by an officer and her mother "Hornellsville Times" Miss Swartout is a daughter of Mrs. W. P. DECKER and will probably be taken to an asylum if she does not improve. Her derangement is due to recent illness. (last added by the Allegany County Reporter)
