That book by Percy Deckard is in a lot of libraries...am sure I have seen it in Western Reserve Cleveland and Allen County Ft Wayne. It does have some odds and ends in it about other unrelated Deckers like mine. e.g information from the PA archive books.

    3. Hi again, First of all, didn't think it would hurt to run my "help plea" again...one never knows AND add a little more information! Looking for these DECKERS:> >Horace - b. abt 1832 maybe in Pulaska MI, Jackson County; >he married Lucretia Bailey > From their marriage, at least 2 sons: >1) Harry - b. abt 1869 in Ransom MI, Hillsdale Co.; nothing else known >2) Edward Franklin - b. abt 1859 in Ransom MI, Hillsdale Co.; > he married Ann Elizabeth Bailey > From their marriage, at least 1 son and 1 daughter: >1) Stella Decker b. ?; married (someone) Abbot, had son named him Nelson >2) Harry Clayton Decker - b. 1882 in Elyria OH (or possibly Ionia MI); > he married Hercie Mildred Durkee I have reason now to beleive that Harry Clayton was born in Lake Odessa, Ionia County, MI--could make a difference!!! >From their marriage only 1 son: Murray Loraine Decker - b. 1914 in Woodland MI, Barry Co.; he married Dorothy M. Humphrey >From their marriage 2 daughters and 1 son ---- I have a contact and friend that has been most helpful to me, and old timers to the Decker mail list will likely know him, but for any "newbies" like myself I want to introduce him. John told me it would be okay to "broadcast" his address (are you ready for this John?). He's got monumental amounts of data of the Deckers from way back when-- from the Jans & Jans...and chances are, Karen (weir) and Judy (?) that he may be able to help you too...John can be reached at: [email protected] Karen (weir), I'm in Michigan, just north of Grand Rapids (west side of the state). 3. Hey Everyone, First of all, hope I'm doing this right! I'm another Newbie trying to get her foot in the door. I'm a DECKER from "no-peoples" land, I'm sure. Looking for a hit/connection to these Deckers: Horace - b. abt 1832 maybe in Pulaska MI, Jackson County; he married Lucretia Bailey From their marriage, at least 2 sons: 1) Harry - b. abt 1869 in Ransom MI, Hillsdale Co.; nothing else known 2) Edward Franklin - b. abt 1859 in Ransom MI, Hillsdale Co.; he married Ann Elizabeth Bailey >From their marriage, at least 1 son and 1 daughter: 1) Stella Decker b. ?; married (someone) Abbot, had son named him Nelson 2) Harry Clayton Decker - b. 1882 in Elyria OH (or possibly Ionia MI); he married Hercie Mildred Durkee >From their marriage only 1 son: Murray Loraine Decker - b. 1914 in Woodland MI, Barry Co.; he married Dorothy M. Humphrey >From their marriage 2 daughters and 1 son and since that would be me, my brother and sister, I don't need to "locate" us! I know exactly who and where they are! If anyone can provide the slightest hint of a connection, I would sure appreciate it. I'm open to all suggestions and tips. Thanks in advance for the ton of information I expect to receive %-) Diane Lost in the World of Deckers
