    3. Hi. Is Deckard a form of the Decker family name? If so, does anyone have any information on Sally Deckard? Sally married John Arney, Sr. in the early 1800's. The marriage probably took place in VA. They had a son named John Arney, Jr. who seems to have ended up in Monroe or Lawrence County, Indiana. John, Jr. was born ca. 1821 in VA. He married Mary Ann Eads sometime between 1851 & 1853. Apparently, all of the children of John & Mary Ann were born in Indiana. If any of this sounds familiar please let me know. Thanks very much, Martin Meadows

My gggrandfather was Conrad J. Decker (1831-1904) married to Johanna Marie Christine Diester. Their son, Carl Heinrich Decker (1860-1901), married Maria Louisa Hoffman. Carl had one sister and one brother, Christian Heinrich (1867-?) Carl and Maria had five sons and four daughters, one son being Johannes Rudolph Decker (1891-1987). Will >see if I can find out if it was Rudoph for you, Jeffrey. > >John & Mary Ealy >[email protected] Thanks for responding. I am told that Rudolph Decker died in his early 20's of heart trouble. That is probably why he only has two children listed. I was also told that Rudolph worked as a bartender in one of St. Louis' biggest bars but I don't know which one. I guess there were many in the late 1800's. So little else is known about this Rudolph Decker b. 1866-1886 that it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't just step off "the boat" and head straight for Missouri. I feel like Rudolph must have hung out on the German side of town. His wife's name was Josephine (Josie) Beleck and his son, Arthur Russell Decker married a Schmidt. His only other known child was Elmer b. 1902. I have a wonderful picture of Rudolph and Josephine that was taken at the time of their marriage about 1900 in case you would like to see it. Jeffrey L.
