    3. Decker list: I have enjoyed the DECKER list but this is to much. I do not think this type of message should be on the list. This is Christmas and am supprised that you would have put this on today. Because what you did or did not do in your personal life would not have affected this list. I am going to unsubscribe to the DECKER list and you are the cause of it. Maybe other subcribers will do likewise. 1. [DECKER-L] A message from the President
    2. My fellow Americans, I am the President of the Decker Family and Burnett Family Associations and the keeper of the Finger Lakes Family Archives. First ... I want to make a statement. I did not have an affair.... I did not lie about it under oath... and I will not resign. Now.... I want you to listen to me.... I'm going to say it again... I did not have brunch with that woman.... I ask you to turn away from devisiveness, celaciousness and discord. I have a job to do as the President of the Burnett and Decker Family Associations and that is what I am going to do. The business of genealogy must going on! I have recently added GenConnect Query Boards for both families at http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyontari/ you will find boards to post surname queries, wills deeds, bios, obits, and pensions etc. In addition there are some 5,000 new ancestors of ours in the Ontario Co. Civil War Service Men files and the Roseridge Cemetery file, submitted by John ____ . Over the next few days and weeks, there will be additional links, and files added to the site. Also, I have instructed the men and women of the volunteer typing forces to begin an operation called "Operation Church Records" ... over the next several weeks more of your ancestors will appear in those records. I believe we can and must work together as rooters, so I am asking you to send me your material.... and I am prepared to accept what ever you deem appropriate for me and the page. In closing .... I want to say.... in the words of Bob Livingston... M - e - r - r - y Chris --- mus Happy Holidays... and as Tiny Tim would say.... God Bless us... every one. Good night ... Abraham is the one that I am interested in since I think that I might descend from him. He married Mary Alston who was the daughter of Capt. David Alston who was a British officer in the Revolution. 3. I am looking for information on the children of Georg Jacob Decker and his wife Margaret Maria Schwabe. they were all born in York Co, PA. Philip Jacob b. 1836, John b. 1838, Elizabeth b. Dec16, 1840 d. Nov. 5 1845, Louis (know about), Henry b. apr 10, 1847, William b. Dec 14, 1849, Barbara and Peter died as infants. I know all moved to Fairbury, Il about 1860. Henry went on to Missouri. John moved to CA. Louis went to Oregon. I have the family bible for this line in German dated 1874. Unfortunately for me I don't read german and once the bible came to Oregon it wasn't kept up as to the brothers or parents deaths. Laurel Holland [email protected]

    3. I like to run this query every so often, hoping that perhaps a "new" Decker lister will recognize someone: Horace Decker, born in NY (where? parents?) abt 1832. Horace next appears in Michigan, Hillsdale Co., 1855, age 27. He married (Oct. 15, 1855) Lucretia Bailey, daughter of Jonathan and Hannah Bailey. Children of Horace & Lucretia: ~ Mary, b. 1857, d. abt 1894; ~ Edward, b. 1859, d. 1926; ~ Ira, b. 1861, d. 1882; ~ Harry, b. 1868, d. abt. 1917. 1864-65 Horace served in Co. E, 128th Infantry, Ohio. Horace returned to Michigan and settled in Williamston, Ingham Co. where he and Lucretia died late 1890's. Edward Decker moved to Ionia Co. and married Anne Elizabeth Bailey-Haight. Who were Horace's parents? Did Mary, Ira & Harry marry, and if so to who, and where there children? H E L P . . . TIA Diane Decker-Warneke mailto:[email protected]
