    1. [DECKER-L] Mary Jane DECKER b. ca. 1818
    2. Robert Peter
    3. I am looking for information on the ancestors of Mary Jane DECKER b. ca 1818 possibly PA. She is listed in the 1850 PA census for Westmoreland Co., Fairfield Twp., PA along with a Jonathon MOODY as her husband and with five children. The census record gives PA as place of birth and her age was 32. Does any one have any information on her? She is my gggrandmother. Robert Peter

    3. The only information I have is: Joseph Decker was son of Henry. I have never found a Henry that had a son Joseph. Joseph married three times First in New York to Jane Benson they had son John. Second he married my GGGgrandmother Minerva Wood from Sullivan Twp Tioga Co., PA. I have most of their descendants. Third he married Eliza A. Ackley, of Westfield Township, Tioga Co., Pa - No children . John Barr [email protected]

    3. Cautionary notes on my descent outline: Some of the relationships are just guesses at this point and that should be noted! Those include the notion that Mary Evans is the daughter of Robert Evans, Jr. It seems likely but is not proven. Also the notion that Hannah Alyea is the daughter of Peter Alyea and Martha Bertholf, which has less evidence than the Mary Evans relationship. I am still actively working on both of them! I would love to hear from anyone who is following any of these lines. Now I suspect that Henry Decker who m. Hannah Alyea may have come from Orange County to Sussex, in the late 1780s, rather than having been born there in Sussex.

    3. Floid, No apologies are reguired. I am always open for constructed criticism. The page is meant for you the researcher. It must be easy to use and naviagate. If it is not the chances of you coming back again is greatly diminished. Any suggestions for improvement will be immediately considered and implemented where possible. I have plans to include more printed reports on specific families. I have expanded the size of the total memory for the page so space won't be a problem. Time is my main drawback. I am torn between maintaining the page or conducting research. Her name was Catherine and she married Jabez Case in 1851. She supposedly resided in Glenham, N.Y. at the time. When I come up with something, will be glad to submit it. Hoping you might have something on her and I will read it someday on my computer. Keep up the good work. Have a Happy Easter. "Joanie"
