Author: rosemarydearman Surnames: DEARMAN DEREMAN DAREMAN DAMON MASON DRAPER FARROWAY TOMPKIN Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.dearman/330/mb.ashx Message Board Post: This is a follow-up plea for more information on William DEARMAN of Essendon in Hertfordshire - born mid 1700s and died (I think) around 1820. He married Ann MASON in 1797 and they had six children that I know of - Sarah, Joseph, Mahalah, James, Mahalah, John. I assume the first Mahalah died. All were christened in Essendon. I think that William worked on the Bedwell Park estate. The boys were all transported as convicts to Australia. I have been trying to find his parents and am down to two possible sets of parents - William and Ruth (DRAPER) or Thomas and Esther (FARROWAY). William and Ruth seem to have lived in Hertford and Thomas and Esther mostly in Little Berkhampstead, but also in Hatfield and Essendon. Can anyone help with this? I am also wondering whether my William was married before he married Ann MASON, to Elizabeth TOMPKIN. If so I think they had a daughter Mary and may have lived in Hoddesdon and Brickenden. I am assuming that Elizabeth died. Again, any information would be much appreciated. Thanks, Rosemary Dearman Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
