Hunter, In your research in North Carolina have you found any reference to a daughter named Obedience? Obedience Dean married Jacob Strator in Sumner Co. TN in 1812, and from later census records both say they were born in NC. She was born in about 1790 and fits into your time frame. Among the many Edgecombe Co. people who settled in early Sumner Co., were Thomas and Henry Bloodworth. Two of Thomas's grandsons married daughters of Obedience and Jacob in Sumner in ca 1840.
