    3. Hi Dawn, Oklahoma began keeping death records in 1908. J. H. Luna died in 1951 so a death certificate should be available in the county where she died and is buried. Also, if you know the month and day she died you can search for an obituary from a newspaper that serviced Atwood. The sexton for her cemetery may have records showing who owned her burial plot and who was her next of kin. Arkansas began birth and death records in 1914 so we may assume she was already married by 1914. By 1951 she may have had a social security number so you could write for her application. The application form has birth date and parents name. Also see if she left a will naming her heirs. That should be in the county courthouse. There may be an amended birth certificate which was required for a relative to certify the place of and date of birth when no original birth certificate existed. Let us know if you have any luck.
