All the concrete info I have is as follows: The marriage record for Martha C. Dean and my ggrandpa William Franklin Kelsay b.1850-1925. William and martha had possibly 2 or more children but the one I know for sure is my grandpa Thomas Ethan BIRD Kelsay b. 1875-1920. the marriage records show that they were married in Washington county Tenn. 7/1/1874. the justice of the peace was D.C. Kelsay. The Kelsay's lived in Sparta/ Doyle area when my mother was born. My mother was born 11-22-1919 to Thomas Ethan and Jennie M. Rogers Kelsay. Thomas Ethan Kelsay could have had a sister by the name of Emma Kelsay that was born about 1878 or 1879. I lost track of Martha C. Dean Kelsay , I dont know if she died or if they divorced all I know is that my ggrandpa William Franklin Kelsay alias Doc Kelsay remarried about 1882 to a Safrona Herd. other possible connections that I hope to prove is: The 1950-1970 census show that there is a martha C. Tn. census pg. 235 or 62 family 430 Dean J.C. 4l farmer born VA. ? Tn. or VA???? Elizabeth 42 KY Wm. 18 , Susan J. 17 , Nancy M. 16, Mary E. l4, Sarah E. 10, Martha C. 8, J.c. 6, Annie 4, Margaret M. 51/2 ms. 1870 McMinn Co. Tn. census Dean, J.C. 52 Elizabeth 52 Nancy 23,Mary E. 22, Sarah E. 21, Martha C. 18,John l6, Nerva l3, Margaret 11. I was given this info and some names of the childrens spouses. But no info is given about this Martha C. being the one who married my ggrandpa William Kelsay. I would love to hear from anyone that may shed the light on my ggrandma Martha C. Dean Kelsay.
