I have been working today on the family of Stephen Dean and his 2nd wife Mary Flandreau. I have found information online that Stephen married Mary about 1761 and they had children: Joseph b. 1763 Daniel b. 1766 William b. 1770 Jonathan R. b. 1776 John Dean b. Feb 23, 1781 Israel Dean b. 1777 Hannah Dean b. 1784 Well, if Stephen was born in 1724, they would be about 60 still having children? This seems strange to me. Is anyone else researching this family that can help me out? Thanks, Karen

I have seen several cases of an oldr man marrying a "younger" lady to help raise his children after the death of a wife. It often happened that he would be in his 60's and still fathering children by a much younger wife. Really need a birth date for Mary to make any kind of judgement. Bill Walsh
