This could be one of two ELizabeth Dane (note spelling) listed there. SPelling does not seem consistent. For example, Philemon and Anstice Dean have children listed under Dean, Deane, and Dane. There are only two children named Dean in the records at the right time: Philemon s Philemon and Anstice bp 21:12m:1719 Ruth d Philemon and Anstice bp 25:11m:1718 Under Dane we find: Elizabeth d Nathaniel bp Apr. r. 1716 (sic) Elizabeth d Nathaniel bp Aug 31 1718 Elizabeth d John bp July 16, 1721 Under Dean Marriages we have Elizabeth of the Hamlet, and Nath[anie]ll Knowlton, int. Dec 25, 1742 Philemon and Anstice Manning int Mar 24 1716 I did not find a marriage for John. His death seems to be recorded and that of his *unnamed) widow both around 1755. If you do not have access to the printed Ipswich records, I could make you copies of a few pages from my CD. Although the vast majority of my family comes from New ENgland, my Dean connection (my mother was a Dean) comes out of Dutchess County NY. George Parker
