Now, don't get your hopes up with that subject. my ggg-grandmother Obedience Dean married Jacob Strator in Sumner Co., TN, in 1813. They remained in Sumner until their deaths in the 1870s. She was born in NC in about 1790. There was a family of Dean living in Robertson Co., TN ~~ right next door to Sumner ~~ throughout the same period. The Robertson Co. Dean who also connects to my relatives, Thomas Dean, is probably about the same age as Obedience, but I don't know if they are related. In addition to Thomas, names associated with that family are Elija and Frances "Fanny." I believe they are related, because the daughter of Jacob and Obedience gave one of their sons the name of Mills Taylor. Mills Taylor was a close in-law to the family those Deans connect to. I know of no other Dean family in Sumner County in those early years, but I think there were others in Robertson. Good luck. Joyce
