Dean was married to Doc Kelsay or William Franklin Kelsay they had a son by the name of Thomas Ethan Kelsay or alias Bird (Birtha) E. Kelsay. Martha was born 1858. Bird was born 1875. They may have had a daughter by the name of Emma who was 8 mos old on the 1880 census when Doc Kelsay married Susan Safrona Herd. I am not sure as to weather or not Emma was Martha's or Safrona's very good possibility that she was Martha's and Martha died in child birth. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY DEATH INFO ON MARTHA c. DEAN KELSAY. C. age 41 Farmer 00/$700 born VA (?-now, VA or TN?) Elizabeth age 42 KY William 18 (all kids born TN) Susan J. 17 Nancy M. 16 Mary E. 14 Sarah E. 10 Martha C. 8 J. C. 6 Annie 4 Margaret M. 5/12 1870 McMinn Co. TN. 1st Civil Dist. (census taken Aug 20, 1870) Dean, J. C. age 52 $000/$300 born VA Elizabeth 52 TN Nancy 23 (All children listed born TN) Mary E. 22 Sarah E. 21 Martha C. 18 John 16 Nerva 13 Margaret 11 That is all I have on census info in TN. Wm. married Elizabeth Woody Mar. 7, 1865 in McMinn Co. I have nothing on Susan. Nancy M. married John F. Dean, because they appear, married, in Polk Co. in 1880, I think it is. John F. Dean is Nancy's first cousin, I think, because he is the son of James Dean, and I never proved it, I don't think, but I thought he and John C. were brothers. Nancy died in Polk Co., MO March 20, 1875, and is buried in Callaway Cemetery here. John F. married 2 or 3 more times, and I don't know what happened to him, at this time. I don't have anything on Mary E. Next is my Sarah Elizabeth line, which I have a lot of descendants on. I have nothing on Martha C. or on John C. Minerva Ann married Leander Fulbright Aug. 19, 1877 in Polk Co., MO and she died Sept. 10, 1923 in Polk Co., and is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery here. Margaret M. married John F. Senter Aug. 29, 1875 here in Polk Co., and I think they migrated to Wash. state. I did have some info on descendants, but it is filed WAY away now. Anyway, I have never found where my Sarah and Wm. F. McKinney married, in 1873, and suspect the Deans followed them to Polk Co. after they married somewhere else. Then, the other Dean marriages,etc, start in Polk Co.
