Hello everyone. It sure would be nice to see everyone's roll call. I am researching a John Deane from Chard, England. He and his brother, Walter came to America around 1633, with or without their parents. They may have settled in Dedham, Mass., then moved to Taunton, Mass. The family name was spelled Den, Dene, Dean, and Deane in England. After Samuel Cleveland Deane, the spelling turned to Dean. John Deane may have been born 1599/1600 or in 1617, Chard South, England. May have died April 25, 1660 in Taunton, Bristol, Massachusetts or in 1727. Parents may have been William Deane and Mrs. William Dean. Wife may have been Alice Strong/Sarah Alice Jeffry. My husband's lineage is as follows..... John Deane abt 1617-1727 Joseph Deane 1682-1721 Faxon Deane b. 1718 Samuel Cleveland Deane 1755-1840 Aaron Weller Dean b. 1803 in NY Charles O.
