I would appreciate any information on my gggg-grandfather James Dean, born 1760, died 1838, in Jessamine County, Kentucky. In about 1782, he married Patience Holeman, in Rowan County, North Carolina. By 1786, they were in Jessamine County, Kentucky. I have not been able to attach any parents to James. All I know is James and Patience is this: "...James Dean and Patience (Holeman) Dean, the maternal grandparents of William J. Turner, natives of North Carolina and of English descent, were among the early settlers of Kentucky, and found it necessary to go into Craig's station in order to protect themselves from the depredations of the Indians. They afterward settled in Jessamine County. James Dean was a soldier in the Revolutionary war..." They had 12 children. Their son Thomas Holeman Dean 1800-1877, was my ggg-grandfather. Any information regarding the parents of James would be greatly appreciated. I know who the parents of Patience Holman were, but not James. Thanks Josh D. Dean
