The William in the list below could also be William Dean (b. 11/2/1765 Edgefield SC, d. 7/14/1840 m.1. Rebecca Withers b. 1760 Charleston SC d/o William Withers and Rebecca Hartley of Charleston, SC [LDS records] 2. Sarah (Sallie) Adams (d. 1829)[Fam ?], 9/12/1828, ) [Dean Cem Edgefield SC, Edge Note, AWEC,p. 321) I have recently been given information that someone sent someone ( you know how that is) that there was another wife. But the original someone has never answered my query for more information. Anyway, I have information on this William, with desc. of the children named in his Will. 1840, Edgefield co., SC. and have wondered if he could be attached to Samuel. His birth date works if Samuel Jr . born 1760, he could fit in. Have NO proof of this, just thought I would throw this out as a possibility. He does not, as far as the children I have attached at this time, name a son Samuel, which is unusal if his father was in fact Samuel. Any thoughts?? Billie Jones Edgefield Co, SC Deans.
