Dear Heather, Quite a coincidence that I have a Joshua b 1750 in my paper files that was already in America in 1750. Here is information that was sent to me by another researcher. I have not documented this family myself. Joshua Dean (b. 1750 Lunenburgh VA, m. Lists 3 brothers Julius, John and William a. Smallwood Dean lived in EC in 1856 b Sarah Dean m. Waitte or Waitts According to the researcher who sent me this information, Joshua is the son of Edward Dean (b. 1718 Henrico VA, m. Rebecca Abney (b. 1720 Henrico VA)[d/o Unity & George Abney], d. 1761 Halifax VA)) Edward above is the son of Richard Dean [1698](b. England, m. Sarah (d. 1751 Henrico VA), d. 1748 Henrico VA) (1704 Quit Rent Rolls - Richard Dean, 100 acres, Surry Co, VA) I do not know how these folks connect to my line at the present time which is William Dean (b. 11/2/1765 Edgefield SC, m.1. Rebecca Withers b. 1760 Charleston SC d/o William Withers and Rebecca Hartley of Charleston, SC, 2. So there is still checking out to do.
