Hi listers, In October 1780 the family of Matthew Dean was massacred in Canoe Valley, (then) Frankstown Twp., (then) Bedford Co., Pennsylvania. (Now Catharine Twp., Blair Co.) Matthew's wife and four children were killed. Matthew and four children survived. The surviving children were: John Dean, b. 1763, m. Elizabeth "Betsey" (uncertain about her maiden name) Margaret Dean, b. abt. 1768, m. Hugh Means Rebecca Dean, b. 1770, m. Maj. David Caldwell Elizabeth Dean, m. Samuel Caldwell Does anyone on the list have the names, birth years or any other information on the children of the above John Dean? I will very much appreciate any help I can get.
