1. Check out RootsWeb's WorldConnect Project
2. I found this on another family digest list and thought you all would like to know about it: Click here: RootsWeb's WorldConnect Project Look what just arrived at RootsWeb!!! New!! This is so neat! You can upload your family file to RootsWeb for free! And, boy, is it great! I just uploaded and it only took a few minutes. You have the option to include "more about" notes or not, you can include your sources or not, you can "clean" the info on your living folks---many options available. First, you need to set up an account, so you can upload your file, and later, to edit it (which I just did, also). Then, send it up! So easy and so fast. It took HOURS to send it to the Family Tree Maker site. Just minutes at RootsWeb, and it's much more complete. Also, you can add "post-ems" to anyone's data, and you can be notified when someone adds a post-em to yours, so that you can connect. This is brand new, just got started yesterday, I think. There may be a few bugs yet, but there's a message board where the fellow taking care of the GEDs is posting responses to the suggestions. And he is fast. What a great idea! Now we can all connect so much easier and FREE! Here's the URL: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/ I can't wait to get some more databases online. Spread the word! Kathy

3. I am sending this again in Plain text just in case it cant be received. Subject: Dean of Mcminn Co. Tenn Hello I am new to the list. my name is Wanda Wright Diomedes I have recently found out that my ggrandma's name is Martha C. Dean. I have no info on her except speculation. All the concrete info I have is as follows: The marriage record for Martha C. Dean and my ggrandpa William Franklin Kelsay b.1850-1925. William and martha had possibly 2 or more children but the one I know for sure is my grandpa Thomas Ethan BIRD Kelsay b. 1875-1920. the marriage records show that they were married in Washington county Tenn. 7/1/1874. the justice of the peace was D.C. Kelsay. The Kelsay's lived in Sparta/ Doyle area when my mother was born. My mother was born 11-22-1919 to Thomas Ethan and Jennie M. Rogers Kelsay. Thomas Ethan Kelsay could have had a sister by the name of Emma Kelsay that was born about 1878 or 1879. I lost track of Martha C. Dean Kelsay , I dont know if she died or if they divorced all I know is that my ggrandpa William Franklin Kelsay alias Doc Kelsay remarried about 1882 to a Safrona Herd. other possible connections that I hope to prove is: The 1950-1970 census show that there is a martha C. If there are more than 100 within any letter of the alphabet - run the alphabet with the second or third letter wherever the list ends on the first name. This method should bring everyone up without knowing any first names. Hope this is clear. It worked for me. Good Luck. Nola Payne

2. Hi Tamie, Thanks so much for taking the time to help me. I guess that there are so many ways to spell different names it makes it confusing, so I have probably been looking in the wrong places. I sure do hope your Brother can help me. Thanks again. Sincerely, Gloria

2. Gloria, I read your posting on the Dean site and forwarded this on to my cousin Jo McTyre. He has done extensive research on the McTyre/McTyerie families in GA and may be able to help you find your McTyerie.
