    3. Hey folks, I have an excel spreadsheet of folks that has been compiled by quite a few different Dean researchers, and sent to one person for compilation. It contains a family of Deans in Va. that have sons Edward Dean (b. 1747 Henrico VA) and Charles Dean (b. 1753 Lunenburgh VA, m. Elizabeth, d. 1780 Georgia). Their father is listed as Edward Dean 26420 (b. 1718 Henrico VA, m. Rebecca Abney 26421 (b. 1720 Henrico VA)[d/o Unity & George Abney], d. 1761 Halifax VA)) son of Richard Dean 26422 [1698](b. England, m. Sarah 26423 (d. 1751 Henrico VA), d. 1748 Henrico VA) (1704 Quit Rent Rolls has a - Richard Dean, 100 acres, Surry Co, VA) I do not know if my edgefield Co Deans connect to this group but it has 105 Dean descendants of this Richard. Oh and Edward b 1718 has a brother Thomas but I have no information on this. A lot of this information was given to me by FStampe@aol.com (Freda) and a lot of the family desc. are listed in MS in and after 1830's. Anyone interested, contact me and I will attach it to email. Remember, it is an EXCEL SPREADSHEET and must be read as one. Formatting into cells is what keeps the folks straight. Can't be sent as a text doc., but I can send Sylk if you have another Spreadsheet and you might can open it. 3. The William in the list below could also be William Dean (b. 11/2/1765 Edgefield SC, d. 7/14/1840 m.1. Rebecca Withers b. 1760 Charleston SC d/o William Withers and Rebecca Hartley of Charleston, SC [LDS records] 2. Sarah (Sallie) Adams (d. 1829)[Fam ?], 9/12/1828, ) [Dean Cem Edgefield SC, Edge Note, AWEC,p. 321) I have recently been given information that someone sent someone ( you know how that is) that there was another wife. But the original someone has never answered my query for more information. Anyway, I have information on this William, with desc. of the children named in his Will. 1840, Edgefield co., SC. and have wondered if he could be attached to Samuel. His birth date works if Samuel Jr . born 1760, he could fit in. Have NO proof of this, just thought I would throw this out as a possibility. He does not, as far as the children I have attached at this time, name a son Samuel, which is unusal if his father was in fact Samuel. Any thoughts?? Billie Jones Edgefield Co, SC Deans.
