The young men of Georgetown will hold their annual dance Monday night. While driving a pair of mules, George Prettyman of Lewes, was thrown out of the wagon and had his arm broken. While trying to dodge a supposedly mad dog, Thomas Truitt, of Millsboro, ran into a glass show case and severed the artery and tendon in his right arm. Over six tons of candy were received at the Georgtown freight station during the month of December, all of which had been ordered by merchants of the town. Miss Ethel Atkins, daughter of Captain G. W. Atkins of Lewes, gave a luncheon yesterday at which she announced her engagement to Henry W. Rowlands, a son of State Senator James Rowlands. The wedding will take place in the spring. Lewes Council Jr. O. U. A. M. presented Rev. W. R. Mowbrey with a 20 pound turkey in appreciation of a recent sermon preached to them.
