Article Text: Lewes, Del., July 15 : Earl D. Stauffer of Lancaster, plunged into the Delaware Bay at Cape May at 7:45 AM Monday, in his second attempt to swim across the bay to Lewes, Delaware. The distance straight across is twelve miles but because of tide and current Stauffer expects to cover many more miles. Last year he failed when he was but within 100 yards of his goal. He is accompanied by two boats, one belongs to the Mayor of Wildwood and the other is a Coast Guard cutter.
