Ingram at Lewes, Delaware Article Text: Lewes, Del., Jan 17, 1944: Thomas R. Ingram of Lewes, president of Sussex Trust Company, one of the largest banking houses in Sussex county Delaware, was stricken with a heart attack late Saturday shortly after arrival at home on Market Street and died before he could be removed to the hospital. The baker and civic leader who started with the institution in 1898 as a clerk was the last of the original associates of the bank. Born and reared in Lewes, the son of the late Anthony Ingram, farmer, and his wife Eliza Jane. His first job was as "printers devil" on the towns first weekly newspaper, the Breakwater Light. He was past president of Delaware State Bankers Association, member of Jefferson Lodge and a director of the Rehoboth Beach Country Club. Surviving are his wife and five children.
