The half blind man had been hunted by groups of firemen, the Lewes Coast Guard, and a detacgment of soldiers from the Coast artillery encampment at Lewes since Friday. He was last seen walking toward the marsh near Lewes. Thomas Dirk, an employee at the Lewes Electric Light Plant saw the man stumbling along near the town dump area and brought him home. While his scant clothing was all bloody from scratches, he was apparently unharmed from his prolonged exposure to the cold and wind. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ DE-Old-News ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ NewspaperAbstracts.com - Finding our ancestors in the news!
