F. SMITH, United States Engineer in charge of Wilmington harbor, is awaiting orders from Washington to proceed with the work of improveing the Christiana River with the $206,000 which was recently appropriated for that purpose. The Wilmington Water Department is interested in the matter of of so many dead fish being found in the Brandywine and will investigate. There is something killing the fish over the line in Pannsylvnania and the dead fish float down to this city in great numbers.
