Two large boxes arrived per railroad marked for our distinguished Secretary of State, and were followed by the United States Officer in Charge at Symrna Station, which is on the look out for traitors and other happenings. Following the boxes to the Secretary Office, the officer requested they be opened in his presenc, which was flatly refused. A revolver was drawn to intimindate the officer but to no effect as he obtained the assistance of Union Soldiers and had the boxes opened.
