Its destruction was caused by a boy discharging the contents of a gun at a fowl under the barn. During the year 1853 there were received into the Almshouse of Sussex county, 101 persons, 17 of whom died, 14 were discharged and 70 still remain. The out-door allowance amounted to $273.12 and the whole amount awarded by the Trustees for Relief of the Poor during the year was $2,597.34. KENDAL BEACH, who resided near Cannon Ferry, Sussex county, was run over by a team of oxen a few days since and was so badly injured that he died in a few hours therafter. The Superior Court of Sussex County, has been in session at Georgetown since last Monday.
