B. Lore Article Text: Wilmington, Del., March 6, 1911: Charles Brown Lore, Chief Justice of the Delaware Courts for fifteen years, was found dead in bed today at his residence in this city. He would have been 80 years of age on March 16. After spending a year in the Methodist ministry Mr Lore studied law. He was Attorney General of Delaware in 1867 and served two terms in Congress beginning in 1882, as a Democrat. When Thomas Bayard retired from the United States Senate to enter President Clevelands cabinet Mr Lore was a candidate for the vacancy but was defeated by George Gray by one vote.
