The fire began in the cigar store of WILLIAM LOWE. The flames spred rapidly and communirated to the adjoining store of WILLIAM GREEN , driving both Green and his wife to their roof, where they were rescued. A commission of three Councilmen and three Firemen held a court of inquiry where it was found that a man was seen running from the rear just before the fire was discovered.
