Through petitions signed by Sussx county residents, Nehemiah Harmon, a young Moor, of Indian River, who was convicted of the murder of a woodsman named Messic, will be pardoned. The appointment of Charles Hickman as postmaster of Lewes has been confirmed and yesterday he sent his bond to Washington in the sum of $14,000. With four generations sitting at the dinner table, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Lynch, of Lewes, celebrated their sixty-first wedding anniversary yesterday. Unless the corporation taxes of Lewes concerns are paid by March, collector Lank threatens to bring action against them. He claims that a number of them are two years in arrears.
