The fire originated in Morrows block and swept the entire street as far as J. C. Collisons dwelling. The following buildings were destroyed: J. L. Phillips residence, George Dolby's store, Zacob Peppert's store, W. D. Robinson's store, Masonic Hall, F. A. Shipleys drug store, Town Hall, W. A. Howard's jewelry store and dwelling, Odd Fellows Hall, and A. G. Greenbaums store, four stores owned by J. C. Collison and occupied by A. R. Wooley, John Harris, A. F. Phillips and Miss Kate Willey, N. W. Allens office, all insured except Dolby, J. L.
